Leila Winick

Executive Vice President, Multicultural Group

A pioneer in the development of the advertising industry, Leila is one of the top multicultural media specialists in the country. She helped launch Western International Media’s (now Initiative) Multicultural Group, and, as President, helped grow that division into one of the largest multicultural buyers in the business.

Recognizing the importance of emerging diverse populations, Leila expanded the group to include specialist teams on Asian, African American and LGBTQ media, servicing accounts including the California Lottery, Honda, Disney, Major League Soccer and Showtime. She held senior positions at Ferrer/Ad Americas, Conill Advertising, J. Walter Thompson/Hispania, McCann Erickson/La Agencia, AC&R/Rossi and Siboney, where she gained valuable experience on such accounts as McDonalds, Sheraton, Tecate, Ralphs Grocery, Chief Auto Parts and Toyota.

Leila holds dual degrees from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Raised in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, Leila speaks five languages. Six if you include media!
